Admissions FAQ's

What grades do you serve?
We serve preschool through eighth grade.

What are the school's hours?
The school day is from 8:15am - 3:15pm.

Is there before and after school care?
Before school care begins at 7:00am. After school programming runs from 3:15pm - 6:00pm. There is a $2.50/hr fee.

How many students are in the school?
Currently, enrollment is around 160 students.

How many students are in each classroom?
Most classes have 16 - 18 students. Our maximum class size is 22.

What is tuition and when is it paid?
Preschool tuition is $4,200. K - 8 tuition is $3,500 before financial assistance. Tuition is divided into ten payments due August 10 - May 10.

Is there financial assistance available?
We have need-based financial assistance. Tuition assistance forms are available in our main office.

Are there other fees?
The registration fee is $150 per family and is non-refundable. The book fee is $150 per student for grades K - 8.

What extracurricular programs are there?
Students participate in music, art, athletics and after school color clubs.

How do you address students’ special needs?
Teachers tailor lessons for each child’s individual needs. Students needing additional help in reading and math participate in our Title I No Child Left Behind Program. Small group tutoring during and after school helps strengthen students’ skills.

Do you have a hot lunch program?
The school offers a daily hot lunch program. Families can apply for reduced-price and free lunches using the Federal Hot Lunch application forms available in the office.

Do you provide transportation?
We do not provide transportation. We are accessible by city bus routes.

What kind of Christian School is CWSCS?
CWSCS seeks to equip young people to lead and serve in Jesus’ name so they can make a difference in the world. Students study God’s Word and learn about God’s amazing world. CWSCS helps students understand that God continues
to work in history and culture and encourages students to become creative problem solvers with a heart for service.

How do I apply?
Turn your completed application in to the office. Our office staff will schedule a date for a placement test for students entering K – 8. There is a $25 fee for testing. Please bring a copy of your child’s most recent report card and standardized test results (if available).
