MIRACLE ON PULASKI! Chicago West Side Christian School's Embracing Our Future campaign was a huge success! The new facility at 1240 South Pulaski is both beautiful and highly functional. Enrollment has increased 50%, from 120 to 180 with waiting lists already forming for several classes for 2005-2006. Praise God that many more families have the opportunity to be part of Christian education! How did the Miracle on Pulaski happen? Hundreds of volunteers from the school, church, neighborhood, Chicagoland area and from around the country helped finish the school. Wonderful in-kind gifts including tile, paint and furniture Students sold lemonade, parents donated monies and time (a parent ran a marathon), Pastor Wolff raised funds by swimming enough miles to cross Lake Michigan, church members and school supporters gave generously of their time and money, and donations came pouring in from around the city, suburbs and country. We experienced God's faithfulness in a powerful way through His people.	VAN LUNEN FOUNDATION Matching Grant Challenge Met In April of 2004, the Richard Van Lunen Foundation offered us $100,000 in a matching grant opportunity. We successfully raised our $100,000 by September. Many finishing touches were put on the school as a result of the matching grant challenge, with the most dramatic being in the gymnasium, where a vinyl floor, basketball hoops and volleyball equipment have been installed. We are grateful for the Van Lunen Foundation's commitment to urban education and for their generosity to Chicago West Side Christian School.
