CWSCS’s seventh and eighth graders created an outdoor art gallery to promote good health in the community. They studied healthy living in science, created projects and demonstrations, and held a health fair for the school community. When Youth Service America awarded the school a Spark the Arts grant to encourage community advocacy using the arts, the students brainstormed ideas for eye-catching murals to inspire others to be healthy. They worked with noted street artist Sentrock to learn techniques for painting murals. The results? A picture of good health!
